Our Faculty’s Academic Council Meeting was held under the chairmanship of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir, with the participation of our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sabri Bilgin, our Dean Prof. Dr. Gül Erkol Bayram, our Vice Dean Dr. Hasan Tahsin Kavlak, our Faculty Secretary Selçuk Duran, and academic staff.
Speaking at the meeting, our Rector Prof. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir drew attention to the contributions of the Faculty of Tourism to the tourism and gastronomy of our city, emphasizing that the faculty makes significant contributions to regional development through its educational activities, scientific studies, and sectoral interactions. Stating that the faculty’s mission of training qualified human resources aligns with the university’s overall vision, our Rector highlighted the importance of academic studies and application-oriented activities carried out in this direction.
Our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sabri Bilgin stated that the faculty’s academic capacity should be further strengthened through project production and university-sector collaborations, and that increasing institutional visibility through national and international projects is among the priority goals.
During the meeting, our Dean, Prof. Dr. Gül Erkol Bayram, stated that the faculty prioritizes developing collaborations with regional stakeholders and supporting student employment after graduation. She thanked the faculty’s academic and administrative staff for their dedicated contributions, and the meeting concluded after receiving feedback and suggestions from the academic staff.
