The School of Tourism and Hotel Management of Sinop University has been serving since the academic year of 2016-2017.
Our faculty, who are specialized in their fields, continue to contribute to science with their national and international publications as well as educational activities. The courses are carried out in 10 classrooms with various capacities. There is a computer and projection in all the classrooms, and there is a video and TV set in the classrooms where foreign language courses are held. Food and beverage application courses are carried out in the 63-room Ahmet Muhip Dıranas Application Hotel which is connected to the College.
The aim of the department is to educate qualified and high-level executive candidates for the tourism sector by providing a modern, scientific and quality education in the field of food and beverage management. For this purpose, students are equipped with knowledge and skills related to two foreign languages, one in English, information technologies, tourism sector, food and beverage enterprises and modern business. In order to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Food and Beverage Management, students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses (total 240 ECTS) and achieve a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. In addition, in order to graduate from this department, students should have 60 working days of internship (workplace training) in food and beverage companies.
